For years, Noosa Waterfront was known for elegant Italian dining in a tranquil riverside setting. It built its reputation on seasonal menus, local produce, European wines, degustation dinners, winemaker events and the kind of relaxed polish that suits Noosa so well. The space itself has always been central to the experience: open, green, romantic at night and designed to move naturally between indoor and outdoor dining.

Now, under the Zibros banner, the restaurant enters a new chapter while keeping much of what made the address special. Zibros brings the warmth, colour and appetite of southern Italian hospitality, led by the same spirit that made its Noosa Junction venue so welcoming. The shift feels less like a reinvention than a continuation: Italian food, beautiful produce and warm service, now expressed through the Zichichi brothers’ Sicilian sensibility.

The restaurant is very much a family effort, with Alessio running the kitchen as Head Chef and his brother, Dario and wife overseeing the floor. Their involvement gives the idea of family hospitality a personal foundation: this is not simply the mood of the place, but part of the everyday life of the restaurant.

That Sicilian sensibility matters. It speaks of coastlines, family tables and abundance, of food that is generous without being heavy, simple without being plain, and deeply respectful of good ingredients. At Noosa Waterfront, those qualities feel entirely at home. Seafood, vegetables, handmade pasta, olive oil, herbs, citrus, wine and shared plates all belong beside the river.

The venue remains one of Noosaville’s most naturally beautiful dining rooms. Guests can arrive by road or by boat, gather for a long lunch, celebrate a wedding, settle into dinner or simply enjoy the pleasure of eating well beside the water.
